Obituary of Brian James Rogers

Brian James Rogers, age 78, of Clinton, NJ, passed away at home on Tuesday, August 8, 2023.  Born April 1, 1945, in Newark, NJ, he was the son of the late Edward Rogers and the late Anne (nee Raccioppi) Rogers.

Brian attended St. Benedict's Preparatory School and Niagara University. He served his country as an officer in Vietnam.  After earning his BA degree, Brian went on to work as a stockbroker.  Most recently he worked for Morgan Stanley-Dean Witter located in Iselin, NJ. 

Brian has two children, Michael and Maureen, who he adored.  He married his loving wife, Diana (nee Tonello), on March 24, 1996. Brian is also survived by the mother of his children, Annmarie Laterza.

Brian kept busy in his downtime.  He authored two books; "Newark to Phoenix" as well as "Fregoli Delusion." He was an active member of the Elks Lodge in Sterling, NJ, and volunteered his time at the VA N.J. Healthcare Hospital in Lyons, NJ.  He enjoyed traveling and spending time at their beach house on Long Beach Island creating wonderful memories.  Most of all, he loved spending time with his family, especially his two grandchildren, Ryan and Jaqueline.

Brian will be forever missed by his wife, Diana Rogers; son, Michael J. Rogers; daughter, Maureen E. Fiorot and her husband, Gregory; grandchildren, Ryan Fiorot and Jaqueline Fiorot. 

Brian is predeceased by his parents, Edward and Anne Rogers; and his sister, Kathleen A. Hervochon.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Martin Funeral Home in Clinton, NJ. All services are being held privately by the family at this time.
