Obituary of Anna Rokita

Anna Rokita, age 78, of Hampton, NJ died Thursday, December 31, 2009 at Hunterdon Medical Center in Raritan Twp., NJ. Ms. Rokita was born February 7, 1931 in Union, NJ the daughter of the late Jacob and the late Violet (nee Miszczak) Rokita. She was an antique dealer. Ann had a unique and extensive collection of American kitchen gadgets and tools dating back from the 1700s. She took great pleasure in sharing her knowledge about her collections and her love of each piece and would often be found at museums, and historic sites and events demonstrating the value and purpose of each item. She bowled with the Falconettes and was a member of the Polish Falcons, nest number 115 since 1942. She was also in the Tool Club and the K.O.O.K.S., was a vender in Antique shops and was an antiques dealer for 30 years, showing in many antique events in PA and NJ. She is survived by her Brother: Thomas J. Rokita & his Wife Connie of Iselin, NJ, her Nephew, Thomas Rokita; her Nieces, Christina Mehler & Carol Burns and 7 grandchildren. She was predeceased by her Brothers, Ludwig and Victor Rokita. Visiting Hours will be on Thursday, January 7th from 2:00 to 7:00 pm at Martin Funeral Home, 1761 Route 31, Clinton, NJ. There will be a Funeral Mass on Friday, January 8th at 10:00 at St. Ann's RC Church, 30 Church Street, Hampton, NJ. The Interment will take place at 3:00 pm also on Friday, January 8th at the Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington, NJ #201-997-1900. Note: For those who desire to attend the graveside service please meet directly at the Cemetery at 3:00 pm.
