Jim Vellanti may just be the finest man that I have called my friend. From our initial meeting in 1st grade- to our most recent meeting just a few months ago- integrity, honesty, and loyalty are the first thoughts that come to mind. Forever devoted and loving of his family- his friends- and his professional career. Always favored by friends for his ever present support. And always quick to lend a hand to all when in need. For those that had the opportunity to know this man- his inspiration will live forever more.
God Bless the entire Vellanti family- and all of his friends.

We had alot of great times together, especially playing golf which he so loved.Took him to Bethpage Black several years ago, I remember he was like a kid in a candy store walking around the pro shop. I simply adored this man. He was a beautiful boy who always showed such love, such compassion for everyone around him. He was a son who adored and protected his mother, loved his dad, was crazy about his sisters, was madly in love with his wife and cherished and was devoted to his children. He was walking love. There are no words for a guy like Jimmy Vellanti. This picture brings tears to my eyes because it truly captures his spirit, his kindness, his gentle, reassuring manner. I thank God he was my cousin; I thank God he lived and will continue to live on in his children. I am flooded with so many great memories of Jim, I can't pick just one. I can tell you our grandparents (especially poppa) are thrilled to be with him again. How they worshipped him!

Aloha! Memories of Jimmy go back 25 plus years when we were biking together in the streets of NJ where he grew up and I was staying at his house for a week mini-vacation one summer; and again him jumping and playing in our swimming pool in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, NY. I can see him having fun in the Stars Above New Jersey now smiling down at all of us with his classic grinning smile and watching over his own family; and just waiting for the rest of us to be with him again for some more good times and laughs across the universe. Aloha Oe...

It’s one thing when you know God in your heart and hold him inside all to yourself. It goes to a much higher level when you open yourself up and speak his name to your neighbor, especially during a moment of reassurance. I hope our story brings you some small comfort.
During our backyard BBQ this past August, it poured. The following conversation took place between Jim & Evan beneath the very tent Jim lent us.
Evan: Man, it’s really pouring. I can’t believe all our friends still out here.
Jim: It’s all good. Everyone is having a great time. Look at them out there.
Evan: I kind of feel bad we still went through and had the party today instead of on the rain date.
Jim: Evan, it’s tears of happiness from God. Hey, we are thrilled to have you guys here in the neighborhood. If you ever need any help, I’ve got tons of tools and more than happy to help you.
We pray for strength for your family during this time. We know that your stories, which will be much richer and greater than ours, will honor Jim’s memory and keep his love alive.
All our love,
The Lee Family

I met Jim at Statestreet in NY, when he worked for Teddy. I was always a loud person and he once told me that his wife Jennifer could hear me all the way in New Jersey!!!
My fondest USB memory of him is playing third while he pitched for our Softball Team. Although he called the shots in the office, he was a team player. He always allowed me to call him off many little grounders hit in front of the mound. He also seemed to have a great time participating in our Company's Staten Island picnic. He was a real Man's Man.
