Sometimes you just do not want to believe what you read in the paper. I am deeply saddened by the loss of this great guy. I could always count on a smile, a word of encouragement and a SINCERE "How is everybody?" whenever I ran into Mr. Barber. I will never forget the "Stan chant" at the wrestling matches. I'm so sorry for your loss. I feel like I lost a friend. I just saw your dad in April he was always in a good mood. My memories of your dad go back as far as I can remember. Everytime I think of him I see a great big smile and he always made me laugh.

I can't think of my childhood in Clinton without thinking of Mr. Barber and smiling. Like I told him when I was just a child - he should have been the mayor of Clinton. Mrs. Barber, Renee, Stan, Lynne & Hayward I'm truly sorry for your loss.
Bill Barber, the character I met him on Maple Ave In Newark. I lived in his sister-in-laws house. He adored his babysis as affectionally called her. A.C.took a big hit on 9/21/2009. May He Rest in Peace.
My heartfelt condolences to the family.Big Bill Barber. When I was a little kid,he was larger than life.Always cool,honest,down to earth.He is the only Homeboy I will ever know.I'm sure he has some clever quip he would like to share with everyone in his all-knowing manner.He was one cool cat who left a giant impression on everyone he met.
I first met Bill working at Annandale. He was my supervisor & our relationship grew to be friends. He always helped people when they where in need of help. He was kind, gracious, supportive and always knew how to make someone feel good when things were bad. He will be always remembered for all the good deeds he did and all the stories that we shared between one another. Bill always appreciated when I would give him a good Cigar because it was a passion of his especially when it was free and I loved seeing the smile on his face. Now he will be putting smiles on the faces of those in heaven. He will be missed but the memories cannot be taken from us. Homeboy, may you rest in Peace, God Bless You.

Our family was very saddended to hear about your wonderful Dad. I had the privilage of knowing him for many years, working at MYCF with him, North Hunterdon Football Games, cleaning my rugs and just being the man with the big heart and the big smile. We've lost a best friend and superb neighbor of 35+ years. His generousity over the years was immeasurable. His presence was so great and will leave such a hole in our lives as we try to move forward. God Bless Bill Barber and all that he did for us, forever sadly missed.
Bill you will be sadly missed. You were a fixture in the Town of Clinton. I have know you for most of my life and everyone knew who you were and if anyone ever needed a ride or help you were the first to assist. My thoughts and prayers go to your family in this time of sadness. You will be missed!

Its been aride of 33 years together. A Lifetime to me. I again apologize to you Bill when accidentally I woke you up when I was placing your rent money on your bedroom table, 15 years ago. I remember saying that I was sorry for waking you up. Your last words were, ‘Anytime you want to, buddy,” and then went back to sleep and woke up again in Heaven. Your last words described the person that you are. Thank you for being a blessing in my life and others. Until we meet again on the other side, enjoy Paradise with Jesus! AMEN
