Obituary of Wally Barnette

Wally Barnette, age 66, of Glen Gardner, NJ died Monday, August 31, 2009 at home. Mr. Barnette was born June 10, 1943 in Moncks Corner, SC the son of Ellie and Norma (Cumbee) Barnette. He was born in Moncks Corner, SC and then lived in Russellville, SC before moving to Glen Gardner, NJ in 1974. Mr. Barnette graduated Ringling College of Art & Design in Sarasota, Fla.Wally was an Office Manager for Matthew Bender & Company Inc. (a law Publishing Company) in NYC, NY. In addition, Wally was an artist. He also owned and operated Gallery 31 North in Glen Gardner. He was a member of the Hunterdon Art Museum, ACE (Art Community of Easton) and a member of the Glen Gardner planning board.He is survived by his Partner of 35 years, Andrew Dalpe of Glen Gardner, NJ, his Parents, Ellie & Norma (Cumbee) Barnette of Russellville, SC, his Sister, MaryJo Hair of St. Matthews, SC, his Uncle & Aunt; William & Mary Alice Barnette of Russellville, SC, his Nephews; Douglas & Christopher Hair of Orangeburg, SC and numerous Great Nieces & Great Nephews.Visiting Hours will be on Wednesday, September 2nd from 5:00 to 9:00 pm at Martin Funeral Home, 1761 Route 31, Clinton, NJ.
