One week ago today I lost the most wonderful person I have ever known. It took me this long to write anything and I dont think I'll ever be able to write what I really feel. Wally complimented any good in me, he made that good better. Any flaw in me he accepted as we worked together finding all kinds of happiness and sorrows. Together is the best word that described our journey. I always enjoyed our time and I think Wally did too. I believe that where ever he is now is a better place. His sister, Maryjo, said that God wanted Heaven redecorated and who could have done a better job? I know that one day these tears of pain will stop but I also know that I never would have been anything without Wally in my life.
Uncle Wal... Words definitely can not explain how thankful I am to have been your friend, niece, and fellow artist! You gave me excellent advice and guidance that I will always remember and use in my own teaching. You brought together so many people and instilled a great sense of community of the arts in our area. I am honored to have you in my family. I love you to so many pieces.

I will miss my brother Wally's compassion, his empathy for others, his great wisdom in life's ways and his quirky sense of humor. I will miss just sitting with him talking & laughing about everything. I thank God that he was in my life for the past 3 decades. Wally, I will miss your gentle face.

I am so sad by the passing of this gentle man. His warmth and hospitality was so genuine and his sense of humor wickedly delightful.
My thoughts and prayers go out to the love of his life, Andy, and to his family back home. May you all be surrounded by love and friendship as you mourn this deep loss.

i met wally at his 50th birthday, i named a drink after him "wally"(vodka + diet coke), and I'll never forget our trip to europe, and most of all wally your sweet kind love that you have shared with Andrew!!!!
Wally and I have been friends for more than 50 years. We weren't always physically close but we were always close in spirit. He had a great infulence on my life and will forever live on as a part of my life.
