Obituary of Joan B. Black

Joan B. Black, age 63, of Stewartsville, passed away on Friday, August 15, 2008 at her home.She was born May 2, 1945 in New York, NY. She was the daughter of the late Douglas C. and Margaret V. (O'Mara) Brown. Mrs. Black was a real estate agent. She worked for Weichert Realtors in Phillipsburg. She has been living in Stewartsville for the past 8 years. She was previously from Watchung, NJ. She was a member of the NJ Board of Realtors. Her hobbies included needlepoint and she enjoyed traveling. She is survived by her two nephews: Robert E. McKean of Chester Springs, PA and William J. McKean of Pittstown, NJ; three nieces: Mary Anne Ronk of Raritan, NJ; Nancy M. Burke of Raritan, NJ; and Julia Macdonald of Bodega Bay, CA; her godson: Mark Esposito of Bridgewater, NJ. She was predeceased by her husband, Stewart E. Black who passed away in January of 2000. Family will receive relatives and friends at a Memorial Gathering on Tuesday, August 19, 2008 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm at the Martin Funeral Home in Clinton. A Memorial Mass will held on Wednesday, August 20, 2008 at 10:00 AM at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 2 White Bridge Road, Pittstown. Everyone is asked to meet directly at the church Wednesday morning. Interment will be Private.
