Cornelius (CJ) Muojekwu posted a condolence
Gene was full of life and exceptionally brilliant at work. He was very proud of his son, Scott and his young family. I still remember Gene's radiant face when he was telling me about Scott writing and publishing his first book ("..strategies for getting into the top business schools"). Gene has his own unique humor, informing me the exact number of days, hrs, minutes and seconds left before his retirement the very first day I came to work at AmRod in 2002. I later found that Gene keeps a retirement tracking applet on his computer screen at all times, and he reads out this information jovially to anyone who will listen. During our last conversation, Gene was happily telling me about his granddaughter when I called him at the hospital, and we did not have much chance to talk about being sick.
Gene, may your gentle soul rest in perfect! Amen!
Your Friend,
Cornelius (CJ) Muojekwu

Dearest Uncle Gene,
words caannot express how special you are to us. All I can say is that you will be deeply missed. I have so many special memories of you.... most recently our dinner with the kids. Alivia loved playing with your hat and coins that you saved for her. Your spirits were so high that night. You really thought you had beat the cancer and I really wish it could have been that way. You are out of pain now & the suffering has ended. My dear uncle Gene, I will always cherish your smile, sense of humor, kindness and compassion.

Dear Dad,
Even though I knew you were sick, I always assumed we'd have more time to talk and say all of the important things before you left us. All I can say now is thank you for being such a wonderful father to me for these past 31 years. I have been truly blessed. I promise to continue to work hard to make you proud every day. And I promise that I will be as good a father to my children as you were to me. I love you very, very much.
Your son, Scott

Gene - From the first time Scott brought me home to meet you over twelve years ago, you and Judy were so welcoming. You always made me feel a part of the family. It didn't take me long to realize where Scott learned his generosity of spirit and work ethic. I wish you could be here to enjoy watching your son become as wonderful a father as you were. It has always been important to Scott and me that our children know their grandparents. You can be assured that Diana will grow up hearing about you and the time you were able to spend with her. And though you will be missed so very much, Judy will always have us so that we can share our love and our memories of you every day. Much love, your daughter-in-law Anita

I always enjoyed laughing with you. Your great sense of humor warmed our hearts and added joy to our lives. I remember making pork & sourkraut and raisen bread and eating it until I had dough belly (which I still have i think!) I love you and will miss you so much.
Aunt Judy, Scott, Anita & Diana: our thoughts and prayers are with you and we love you always.

We will miss the nice meetings for dinner with my family, we will all miss you. You will remain in our thoughts and prayers forever.
