Obituary of Robert J. Dineen VMD
Robert J. Dineen VMD, age 79, Hampton, NJ died Wednesday, May 11th at the SCCI Complex at Easton Hospital, Easton, Pa..
Mr. Dineen was born April 17, 1926 in Hampton, NJ the son of the late Frank and the late Loretta (Spillane) Dineen. He was a lifelong resident of Hampton, NJ
He served in the United States Army from 1952 to 1954.
He was the Veterinarian in Hampton, NJ for more that 42 years before retiring.
He is survived by two Daughters: Claire E. Dineen of Arvada, Colorado & Margaret Dineen of Hancock, NH and two Sons: Robert J. Dineen, Jr. of Fort Lupton, Colorado, Philip Dineen of Denver, Colorado and three Grandchildren: Owen & Michaela Dineen of Fort Lupton, Colorado and Ema Ren McWilliams of Arvada, Colorado. He was pre-deceased by his beloved Wife, Margaret (Peggy) in 1996.
He attended Hampton High School and then Graduated High School from Blair Academy in 1945. He attended Villanova and then graduated the University Pennsylvanian in 1951 with a VMD degree. He traveled extensively around the United States with his Wife and Children. He was a loving Father and Grandfather. Mr. Dineen was known to many as Hamptons Local Historian as he held a special interest in local history. He also enjoyed raising fancy pigeons.
Visiting hours will be Tuesday, May 17th from From 2:00 to 4:00 pm & from 7:00 to 9:00 pm at Martin Funeral Home, 1761 Route 31, Clinton, NJ. The funeral mass will be Wednesday, May 18th at 10:00 am at St. Ann's Catholic Church, 6 Church Street, Hampton, NJ. Burial will be in St. Ann's Cemetery, Hampton, NJ following the mass.
