May the road rise to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face.
May the rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the hollow of His hand.

To this day I cannot ride by that old office building on Rt. 31 and not think of you. You touched not only the four legged creatures with your kind and gentle ways, but the two legged as well. You may be missed here on Earth but you have many friends in Heaven I'm sure.

One day my Aunt advised me to visit a 'nice man named Bob Dineen who knew a whole lot about Hampton' (you see, my great-grandfather was Hampton's Justice of the Peace eons ago and I wanted to know more about him). My mother and I knocked on Dr. Dineen's door and were warmly greeted by a tall man with the blue-est of eyes and a bright smile. Sitting in his beautiful living room, Bob shared his extensive knowledge and memory of the 'good ol days in Hampton'...it turned out that HIS father Frank Dineen and MY great-grandfather Wm. Fitzgibbon made the news together back around 1902?...over a missing flag that was used to stop trains coming through on Sundays! It was a great story and Bob took great joy in telling it. I went back to visit Bob last year and was glad to see that he was still living in the home he loved. Tonight though I had a feeling and Google'd his name....the sad news appeared. I didn't know Bob very long but he brought an entire century to light for me. I'll miss him.

I never know what to say at times like these. I suppose that there is some consolation to know that your dad and mom are together in heaven smiling down on all of you and thinking how proud they are of each of you. Thank God you had the beach house last year. I will keep you in my prayers. I am so sorry for you loss. Peggy Sidman
