Obituary of Roshan Firoze Avasia -

Roshan Firoze Avasia, known as "Granny Rose" to all, passed away on Tuesday, December 24, 2013 at Hunterdon Medical Center in Raritan Township, NJ. She was 84 years old. Born in Bombay India on January 21, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Minocher Lakdavala and the late Putlibai Daruwalla. Granny Rose came to the United Statesin 1993 and has lived with her daughter in Lebanon Twp., NJ since then. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, games shows and crafts. She is survived by her daughter, Zarine Chughatta , her son, Marzban Avasia; her sister, Banoo Rusi Katila; her grandchildren, Rihaz Chughatta, Mehroze and Fariz Avasia; her great grandchildren, Rina, Sahir, Nasim, Zain and Naia Chughatta; her daughter-in-law, Yasmin Avasia; her son-in-law, Zahid Chughatta, her nieces and nephews, Percy, Pervez and Feroze Katila, Khushro Lakdavala and Yasmin Katki. She was pre-deceased by her husband Firoze Avasia and her brother, Homi Lakdavala. The family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, December 27th from 9:30 am to 11:00 am at Somerset Hills Memorial Park, 95 Mount Airy Rd., Basking Ridge, NJ. for those wishing to pay their respects.
