Obituary of Rosemarie Ann Zierer

Rosemarie Anna Zierer, age 92, of Upper Saddle River, NJ formerly of Annandale and Union Township, NJ passed peacefully after a five year battle with Parkinson's disease on Friday, October 12, 2018 at Villa Marie Claire Hospice in Saddle River, NJ. Rosemarie was born September 25, 1926 in Bad Koenigshofen, Germany She is the daughter of the late Johann and the late Hildegard (Gruss) Reinhard. Her husband Oscar G. Zierer predeceased by her on December 6, 2000.

Rosemarie came to the U.S. in 1956 living with family in Brooklyn before she ventured to Florida, where she would meet her future husband as the two both worked at the Everglades Club in Palm Beach. Eventually settling in Hunterdon County NJ, she and her husband would become the owner operators of the Clinton House, in Clinton NJ from 1970 until their retirement in 1995.

She is survived by her two sons: Steven Zierer and wife Karin of Gelnhausen, Germany and Ken Zierer and wife Evelyn of Upper Saddle River, NJ; She also has two grandchildren, Alexander and Julie. Her brother Hans Reinhard predeceased her in 2002.

A Mass of Christian burial will be offered at 10:00 am on Saturday, October 20 at Immaculate Conception Church, 316 Old Allerton Road, Annandale, NJ.
