Obituary of Marlene B. Rush
Marlene B. Rush died on May 30, 2018 at Hunterdon Medical Center surrounded by her family. She was a resident of Union Township, NJ for 35 years. She was born on June 25, 1950 in Callicoon, NY to parents James and Laura. She was predeceased by her best friend and sister, Dorothy Fisher.
Marlene met her husband, Thomas Rush, in Clifton, NJ where she also attended high school. She would continue her education at Paterson State Teachers College where she would earn a Bachelor of Arts degree. Marlene would continue her education focusing on special education. She approached her job as a teacher with tireless effort and her dedication to the children she taught was evident to everybody that knew her. Her love for children would prepare her for being an adored mother and grandmother.
Marlene had recently retired and she loved spending time with her family, especially her 5 grandchildren. She also loved to travel.
She was an active member of Clinton United Methodist Church in Clinton, NJ.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Thomas Rush, their daughter Kelly Paridy, her husband Jonathan and their children Luke and Finn. Also, their daughter Stacey Morgan, her husband Rich and their children Lucy and Phoebe. Also, their son Matthew Rush, his wife Andrea and their son, Cameron.
She is predeceased by her parents James and Laura Noble, her sister Dorothy Fisher and her son Jeremy Rush.
Visitation will be on Friday, June 1, 2018 from 4:00pm until 8:00pm at the Martin Funeral Home 1761 Route 31, Clinton NJ 08809. Funeral service will be held at the Clinton United Methodist Church in Clinton, NJ on June 2, 2018 at 9:30am. Interment will take place at the Lackawaxen and Union Cemetery in Lackawaxen PA.
