Greetings: I'm very sorry for your loss. I went through a similar situation and I was very helped by the hope that I found in the Bible in John 5:28, which says, "Do not amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out". I am sending you a link with more information on this hope.

Dear 'Papa' Bill,
I thank God and the Blessed Virgin Mary for the gift of you and your loving, enjoyable grace filled presence since January2006. Through the La Pieta International Prayer Group of 'Tita' Emma De Guzman, i met you...and have traveled with you in some of the pilgrimages and medical missions in Israel, Canada and the Philippines.
You even made time to join us on some Sundays, that we, the Long Island chapter (Emma Luna and Ninia most of the time), visit Tita Emma at the Marian Manor in Bloomsbury to attend Mass at St.Anns then meet for coffee at McDonald's to talk about God, Blessed Virgin and the world,....we prayed, laughed, you listened and taught us when we dont understand, consoled and made us smile when we are sad...you made time for us.
The last time i saw you was when we visited you this year in the hospital, I am glad i did, you were so anxious to go home already...even there (in your low moments in life), you still made us smile.
I was still given another chance to get to talk to you on the phone last July 30, when I invited you to my wedding (9/30/2017)...you were glad and happy to hear that and said congratulations to me....
I cried many tears hearing of your passing away last 9/25/2017.. because i learned that you were almost set coming to my wedding...making sure you have the envelope ready and limo service you will be riding with Novi and Peter on the 30th...but it didnt materialize because the Lord has called you already....despite of that, i knew and believed, you still came and attended my wedding in spirit..
I really made time to see you at your wake in St.Martin coming from work which i made it, a minute before they closed...I was crying a lot while driving because someone who loves me has passed.
When you get to heaven, in the kingdom of God, give my mother my love as well. May your soul through the mercy if God, rest in peace. Amen.
A million thanksgiving to you, whose name is already written in the heart of the Sacred Heart of Jesus while you are still living... I Love you dearest 'Papa' Bill...as i pray for you, please pray and intercede for me, since your prayers are now more powerful with God.
'Papa' Bill, loving father and friend, pray for us.

To the family of William Pote
Please accept my sincere condolences. I have taken comfort knowing that God . . . will wipe all tears from their eyes, and there will be no more death, suffering, crying, or pain.”—Revelation 21:3, 4
The Bible, however, holds out a much different hope. As we have previously noted, the Scriptures indicate that it is possible to be reunited with your dead loved one in the near future, not in an unknown heaven but right here on earth under peaceful, righteous conditions. And at that time humans will have the prospect of enjoying perfect health, and they will never have to die again. ‘But surely that is wishful thinking!’ for some may say. For words of encouragement please go to JW.org
Sincerely,
Roberta

We have had the honor of knowing Bill for 12 years through our attendance at the Blue Army Shrine. We loved Bill and know he was truly a holy person. Our only son Michael participated in Adoration at St. Ann's for years and he had the 2 a.m to 3 a.m shift and was followed faithfully by Bill who had the 3 a.m to 4 a.m shift. My son passed suddenly on 2/6/10 and today, I suddenly thought of Michael's joy at being reunited with Bill in Heaven, praising God together.

Mother Teresa once said "Death can be something beautiful. It is like going home. He who dies in God goes home even though we naturally miss the person who has gone. But it is something beautiful. That person has gone home to God."
It will be so hard to say "We knew Bill" instead of "We know Bill". Rest in Peace, dear Brother in Christ!
