Obituary of Patricia K. Cooper

Patricia K Cooper,  59 of Davis Cove Rd, Lake Hickory, NC passed suddenly on Friday September 8, 2017.  Trish was born February 16, 1958 in Jersey City, NJ, the daughter of the late Albert D. Ginolfi of Lake Hopatcong NJ. 

Before retiring to North Carolina three years ago, Trish resided in Hope, NJ for 31 years. She owned and operated Patricia Cooper Trucking, a certified W.B.E. corporation from 1978-1995 alongside her husband Paul. She later worked as a C.F.O. For TCP Business Systems in Parsippany, NJ for 12 years until the company was sold and moved to another state. Midlife and out of a job, while embracing becoming a new Grammy, Trish's passion and love for her family led her on an amazing journey where she created, developed and brought to market an early educational learning tool for children called Zatswho. Trish later partnered with her daughter Carrie where they appeared on national TV, became weekly radio hosts and went on many adventures together. Trish was an early member of B.I.G. and Marketing in the Morning where she sought to always learn and help guide others from her life experiences.

 Her energy was endless until family and personal health issues derailed her. Once retired to NC, Trish's Entrepreneurial spirit led her to become the first ever Entrepreneur in Residence at Leonoir Ryne University in their 125 year history, where she taught a required accredited business class. She accomplished all this and so much more with only a High School Diploma.

Trish leaves behind her loving husband of 40 years, Paul, a son PJ Cooper and wife Robin of Chesterfield, NJ, a daughter Carrie Schwinof and husband Bill of Phillipsburg NJ and 3 granddaughters, Gianna Marie Schwinof 9, Teagan Bailey Cooper 5, and Mekenna Lynn Cooper 18 months.

Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate Trish's life on Saturday September 23, 2017 from 11:00am until 2:00pm at the Martin Funeral Home, 1761 Route 31, Clinton NJ 08809. Words of Remembrance will begin at 1:15pm during the gathering. In lieu of flowers donations in her name may be made to the American Heart Association.
