Kurt & Sheila Hoffmann (Uncle Kurt & Aunt Sheila) posted a condolence
Monday, March 12, 2018
I (Kurt) was the first friend Hannibal (John) made when he came to America. We went to #3 school and were in the same class so he could learn English. We were friends for 69 years. He was my bestman when I married Sheila. We introduced him to Sheila's friend, Theresa (Terry) Cunniberti. I was his bestman when he married Terry. I was Johnny's godfather and he was our daughter, Tammy's, godfather. We shared so many wonderful memories and good times. Careers and distance eventually kept us apart. But he will always remain a part of me. He WAS my brother. Rest in Peace cherished friend.

To family and friends,
I am very sorry to hear of the loss of your loved one.
No matter how long we live we would normally like to live longer. Why is that?
We were created to live forever. God told Adam not to eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and bad or he would surely die. (Genesis 2:17) This was a small test to see if he loved God. 1 John 5:3 says: "For this is what the love of God means, that we observe his commandments; and yet his commandments are not burdensome. " So why do we die today? Because we inherited imperfection from Adam and Eve. Romans 5:12 says: " That is why, just as through one man sin entered the world and death through sin, and so death spread to all men because they had all sinned." Jesus gave his life as a ransom to pay back what Adam lost (a perfect human life.)
Romans 5:19 goes on to say: " For just as through the disobedience of one man many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of one person many will be made righteous." Jesus will bring our dead loved ones back to life. Acts 24:15 says: "And I have hope toward God, which hope these men also look forward to, that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous."

Dear DeLorenzos,
Both Irene and Donald let me know of Hannibal's passing. Though I did not know your father well, my visits over the holiday seasons many years back revealed to me his love for life and family. The light in his eyes as he shared stories of your youthful adventures and his deep caring for those within his circle, were abundantly clear.
I am deeply sorry for you loss as I know his absence will leave a hole in each of your lives. May we all take joy in the fact that he is now reunited with your mom; a joyous reunion indeed.
Blessings to all of you.
