Obituary of Penny Marie Dietrich
Penny M. Dietrich, age 66, of Pittstown, NJ died Sunday, August 27, 2017 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, NJ. Penny was born January 1, 1951 in Elizabeth, NJ. She is the daughter of the late Jack and the late Helen (Sands) Keithline. She married Ronald L. Dietrich on March 15, 1975.
Penny grew up in Lebanon Borough and was a graduate of North Hunterdon High School class of 1969. She always enjoyed helping in the family restaurant, Smiley's, in Clinton, Twp. Penny was a licensed beautician working in the Flemington area for many years before she married the love of her life Ronald on March 15, 1975. Together they raised their family in Pittstown, where they have resided for the past thirty-eight years.
Penny also worked as an executive assistant in the pharmaceutical industry for over twenty years before retiring in March of 2017.
She enjoyed crafts, antiques and a good flea market. Penny was always giving of herself to others and to her faith.
She is survived by her loving husband of forty-two years: Ronald L. Dietrich; two sons: Christopher Dietrich and wife Loren of Flemington, NJ and Timothy Dietrich of Far Hills, NJ; two sisters: Karen Volker and her husband of Somerset, NJ and Robin Snyder and her husband of Lopatcong Twp., NJ; a brother-in-law Dennis Dietrich and wife of Houma, LA; a sister-in-law Marlene Langreder and husband of Pittstown, NJ; also surviving is her cherished and adored granddaughter, Evelyn Marie and many nieces and nephews. Her brother John Keithline predeceased her.
Relatives and friends are welcome to gather on Wednesday, August 30 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at the Martin Funeral Home, 1761 Route 31, Clinton, NJ 08809. A mass of Christian burial will be offered at 10 a.m. on Thursday, August 31 at St. Joseph Church, 59 Main Street, High Bridge, NJ. Burial will follow at the Locust Grove Cemetery
