Obituary of William J. Bowles

William J Bowles, age 75, of Woolwich, NJ passed away surrounded by family at Penn Medicine, Wissahickon Hospice in Rittenhouse Square, Philadelphia. Bill was born April 26, 1941 in Jersey City, NJ and resided for 43 years in Union Township, NJ with his loving wife Judy and 2 adoring daughters; Jennifer and Melissa before moving to Woolwich, NJ Bill is survived by his loving wife of forty-five years, Judy Bowles, two daughters, Jennifer Bowles-Rzepski and husband Christopher Rzepski; Melissa Reilly and husband Dennis Reilly and two grandchildren, Shawn and Ella Reilly; sisters Rosemary Queenan and Virginia Smith; also surviving are several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his mother Veronica Morris Bowles, father William Joseph Bowles and sister Veronica Hill. Bill graduated from Boston College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance. He worked for over 35 years in research and development for re-insurance companies. Bill was a devoted Boston College football fan. He enjoyed traveling to Florida every winter and spending time with his family. His hobbies were reading, running, tennis, riding his bicycle, playing with his grandkids and was an avid science fiction fan. Friends and relatives may gather on Friday November 4, 2016 from 3:00pm until 7:00pm at the Martin Funeral Home, 1761 Route 31 Clinton, NJ 08809. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday November 5 at 11:30am at St. Catherine of Sienna Church, 2 White Bridge Road, Pittstown, NJ. Entombment will follow at Immaculate Conception Mausoleum, Annandale, NJ. We would like to thank all the nurses, doctors and ancillary staff at Penn Medicine Neuro Intensive Care Unit and Hospice for taking such good care of Bill and providing him with the utmost dignity he deserved during this sudden tragedy.
