Obituary of Sara Garcia

Sara Garcia, age 89, of Lebanon Township, NJ formerly of North Bergen, NJ died Saturday, September 24, 2016 peacefully in the arms of her daughter. Sara was born October 10, 1926 in Camagüey, Cuba and immigrated to New York City, NY in 1951. She is the daughter of the late Mariano and Josefa (Cepero) Palenzuela. She worked for forty-seven years in the Garment District of New York City, (ILGWU) but her greatest accomplishments were that of being an outstanding wife, mother and grandmother. Her family was her life. Sara was predeceased by her loving husband Victor M. Garcia and her beloved daughter Nelly Garcia-Vazquez. She is survived by her loving daughter: Victoria Garcia-Cervelli and her husband Ron Cervelli of Lebanon Township, NJ; son-in-law, Manuel Vazquez; Loving grandmother of Maximilian, Sara, Veronica, Lucas and Jillian Cervelli and Victor and Daniel Vazquez. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 9:30 am on Saturday, October 1, 2016 at St. Luke Parish, 265 West Mill Road, Long Valley, NJ. Burial will follow at the Weehawken Cemetery in North Bergen, NJ. Everyone is asked to please meet directly at the church on Saturday morning.
