Obituary of Geraldine B Canfield

Geraldine (Gerrie) Bella Canfield, age 60, passed into her eternal life and the hands of our Lord on Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at the Hunterdon Medical Center, Flemington, NJ, surrounded by her loving husband, Lowell Canfield. Gerrie was born February 12, 1956 in Trenton, NJ. She is the daughter of the late Peter and Evelyn Bella. She married Lowell Canfield in 1988 and lived in Annandale, N.J. for the past 28 years. She was a longtime member of the Immaculate Conception Church in Annandale, NJ, where she was also a member of the Altar Rosary Society . Gerrie graduated from Mercer County Community College and was employed by Johnson & Johnson as an Executive Administrative Assistant for almost 40 years, working in Consumer and Medical Devices businesses in various roles with increasing responsibilities. She was loved, respected, and appreciated by her supervisors, colleagues, and friends. Gerrie was a loving, caring, generous, and unselfish person who genuinely helped others with a smile and was passionate about the comfort and well being of others. Gerrie is survived by her loving husband, Lowell Canfield, her son, Whitney and his wife, Kelly, and their daughter, Katelyn Canfield of Maryland; her brother, Peter J. Bella II and Armida of Hamilton, N.J., and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and family members. Family and friends are invited to gather and pay their respects on Sunday, July 17, 2016 from 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM and Monday from 8:30 AM until 9:30AM at the Martin Funeral Home, 1761 Route 31, Clinton, NJ 08809. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday, July 18, 2016 at 10:00 AM at Immaculate Conception Church, 316 Old Allerton Road, Annandale, NJ, officiated by Msgr Randy Vashon. Entombment will follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, donations in Gerrie's name may be made to Immaculate Conception Church 316 Old Allerton Road, Annandale NJ 08801.
