Obituary of Marie E. Hockenbury

Marie E. Hockenbury, age 79, of Hampton NJ died Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at Hunterdon Medical Center in Raritan Township, NJ. Marie was born August 13, 1936 in Glen Gardner, NJ. She is the daughter of the late Clyde Sr. and the late Aremintha Mowrey. She was employed by Rolling Hills Care Center as a Certified Nurse's Aid for twenty-four years. Her favorite saying to everyone was "Don't tell me what to do." Marie was predeceased by her husband Arthur Hockenbury Sr. and her daughter in law Gayla J. Hockenbury. She is survived by her three sons: Arthur Hockenbury Jr. of Grandview, TX, Raymond Hockenbury of Broadway, NJ and David Hockenbury of Washington, NJ. Also surviving are her nine grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. Friends and relatives may gather on Friday February 12, 2016 from 2-4pm and from 7-9pm at the Martin Funeral Home 1761 Route 31, Clinton NJ 08809. A Funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday February 13, 2016 at 10am. Interment will follow the service at the Spruce Run Cemetery.
