Obituary of Marie S. Wirasnik

Marie S. Wirasnik, age 85, of Lebanon Township, NJ died Tuesday, September 10, 2013 at home surrounded by her loving family. Marie was born March 1, 1928 in Roselle Park, NJ. She was the daughter of the late Peter and the late Mary Swadba Almind. She resided in Lebanon Township, NJ for more than 60 years. Marie was a loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed country music, polka dancing, collecting chicken figurines and family parties. She was a longtime member of Spruce Run Lutheran Church in Glen Gardner, NJ. Marie is survived by her daughter, Gail M. Vajda of Lebanon Twp., NJ, her sons, James E. Wirasnik & his wife, Patricia of Pittstown, NJ and Daniel C. Wirasnik & his wife, Susan of Lebanon Township, NJ. Additional survivors include her brother, William Almind of Tatamy, PA., her cherished grandchildren; Brande Grieder, Kristen, Marc, Peter, Brian and Virginia Wirasnik, her great-granddaughter, Cadence Grieder and her special caregiver, Donna. She was pre-deceased by her beloved husband, Edward in 2010, her brother, Peter Almind and her sisters; Alice Jensen, Ruth Almind & Jean D'Avella. Marie's Life Celebration will include visitation on Saturday, September 14th from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at Martin Funeral Home, 1761 Route 31, Clinton, NJ. There will be a funeral service at 12:00 pm immediately following the visiting period also at the Funeral Home. The interment will take place at the Spruce Run Cemetery in Lebanon Twp., NJ.
