Obituary of Courtney J. Brown

Courtney J. Brown, age 92, of Lebanon, NJ died Friday, November 7, 2014 at home in Lebanon. He was the son of the late Benjamin and the late Edith (Greenfield) Brown. Born December 24, 1921 in Brooklyn NY, his studies at Carnegie Tech in Pittsburgh were interrupted by service in the U.S. Army until 1944. He earned bachelors and master's degree in economics at Columbia College in New York City. He worked for the U.S. Bureau of Weights and Measures before taking over his father's business The Court Press until he retired in 1990. He is survived by his wife of fifty seven years: Umbertina (Nunes) Brown and his daughter Paula. He was predeceased by his daughter, Susan and his brother Raymond. All services were held privately by his family under the direction of the Martin Funeral Home 1761 Route 31, Clinton NJ 08809.
