Dear Chris,
Though our time together was brief, the impact you had on my life and our families is tremendous. We were brought together by the love our children, David and Jacqueline, have for one another. It was this bond that united our families to share in the joys of our children’s lives. We were both looking forward to guiding and supporting David and Jacqueline as they embarked on their journey together.
What you did not know is that I saw you as a future best friend, someone with whom I could share the milestones of our children’s lives and the joys of retirement. As diehard Yankees fans, I imagined us sitting together, sharing many moments cheering for our team, celebrating their victories, and commiserating over their losses. And in the future as co-grandpas watching our grandchildren grow and toasting to life’s moments with a good bourbon in hand.
Your unexpected passing has left a void in our lives, but your memory will live on in the stories we share and the love we have for our families. You are a guiding force, and your legacy will continue through David, Jacqueline, and the grandchildren we will cherish.
Rest in peace, Chris. You will be missed, but never forgotten.
with love, Lawrence
