Louis Eacovalle, 84, of Lebanon Township, NJ, passed away at St. Luke’s Hospital on Tuesday, July 9, 2024. Lou was born on October 21, 1939, in Teaneck, NJ, to parents Louis and Theresa Eacovalle. He was the youngest of 6, with 5 older sisters and grew up in Dumont until ultimately establishing roots in Hunterdon County. Lou served with honor in the United States Army from 1961 to 1964 and the reserves until 1969. He married the love of his life, Joan (Lambert) Eacovalle, on August 28, 1965. Together they raised 3 wonderful daughters Amy, Erin, and Gina. Lou worked as a subrogation and claims specialist for Selected Risks Insurance and CNA Insurance for many years until his retirement. He and Joan then split their time between their homes in Lebanon Township and Myrtle Beach, SC. Lou loved golf, and his ‘Southern Family’ and could be found on the golf course on any given Sunday. A family man and active in his community, Lou was integral in helping form the Lebanon Township Athletic Association (LTAA), still in existence. He was an active member of St. John Neumann’s Roman Catholic Church in Califon, where he was a Eucharistic Minister and served roles in multiple church functions.
