Obituary of Anne Marie Zehnbauer
Anne Marie Zehnbauer, age 86, of Clinton, NJ unexpectedly passed away on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, peacefully at her home with several of her children.
Anne Marie was born on August 19, 1937 in Bloomfield, NJ. She was the daughter of late Wesley Coleman Sr. and Anne (McDonough) Coleman, and sister of the late Wesley Edward Coleman, Jr.
After high school she attended business school and worked for Hoffmann-La Roche as an executive secretary.
Anne Marie married the love of her life Leonard J Zehnbauer on November 15, 1958. They were happily married for 29 years and during their marriage they enjoyed raising German Shepherds, spending time in South Hero, VT, and raising their family. They were faithful members of St. Joesph’s Catholic Church in High Bridge, NJ.
Together they raised seven children in Lebanon Twp., NJ: Leonard Zehnbauer (Mary) of Hackettstown, NJ, Mary Ann Guido of Holly Springs, NC, Mark Zehnbauer (Donna) of Glen Gardner, NJ, Theresa Zehnbauer of Raleigh, NC, Paul Zehnbauer (Merry) of Milford, NJ, David Zehnbauer (Ginger) of Forks Twp, PA, and Connie Zehnbauer of Clinton, NJ.
In addition to her seven children, she has 19 Grandchildren: Leonard, Tyler, Jessica, Gary, Thomas, Christopher, Jonathan, Timothy, Adam, Alex, Addie, Keith, Abigail, Derek, Luke, Nicholas, Connor, Shane, & Kyle, and eleven Great-Grandchildren.
After the passing of Leonard Zehnbauer, Anne Marie married Bernie Fitzpatrick, residing in the Pocono Mountains. They attended Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Gilbert, PA. Together they embraced their new blended family, enjoyed daytime rides through the mountains, and attending family events and activities.
She was blessed with Step-Children: Donna Ruotola (Frank) of Jackson, NJ, Sharon Pennypacker (Scott) of Forks Twp., Maureen Beattie (Paul) of Tuckerton, NJ, Diane Carletti (Louis) of Nazareth, Jean Catania of Sciota, the late Thomas Fitzpatrick, and 18 Grandchildren and 4 Great-Grandchildren.
Anne was a loving and devoted wife to Bernie Fitzpatrick for 27 years before his passing in 2020.
Anne spent her remaining years in Clinton, NJ, with the family. She attended St Anne’s Catholic Church in Hampton, NJ
Anne Marie selflessly dedicated her life to her two families, her close friends, and neighbors and brought much love and laughter to everything she did and everyone she met.
She will be greatly missed.
Family and friends are invited to visit with Anne Marie’s family on Thursday, June 27, 2024 from 4:00 until 7:00 pm, with the reading of the eulogy and words of remembrance beginning at 6:45pm, at the Martin Funeral Home, located at 1761 Route 31, Clinton NJ 08809. A Funeral Mass will be offered on Friday, June 28th at 10:00 am at the Church of St. Ann, located at 6 Church Street, Hampton NJ. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Clinton NJ.
