Obituary of James H. Pasch

James H. Pasch, Sr., 91, son or Robert H. Pasch and Dorothy Feiring Pasch, died peacefully on May 9, 2024 in St. Lukes Hospital in Phillipsburg, New Jersey. He was predeceased by his parents and sister Barbara Pasch Caswell Parise.

Jim graduated with a BS in Civil Engineering and served in the Air Force from 1950 to 1954. He did a tour of duty in Korea during the Korean Conflict.

In 1958, Jim married Frances Gregory, daughter of Frank and Cecelia Gregory.  They have five sons and nine grandchildren.

Jim worked for several quarries dealing with asphalt and concrete.  He was a voting member of the Society of Testing Materials for over thirty years.  He was a past member of the American Concrete Institute and received a Lifetime Award from the New Jersey chapter of NJACI.  Jim was Chairman of the Technical committee of the N.J. Crushed Stone Association.  

He was active in Boy Scouts at troop level and awards advisor.  Jim loved playing golf and won three championships at Hawk Pointe Golf Club.  He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and family camping.

After working for Weldon Materials for twenty years, Jim started his own consulting business.

Funeral services will be held privately by Jim's family.
