Obituary of Scott D. Angell

Scott D. Angell, age 58, of Pohatcong Twp, NJ, passed away peacefully doing what he loved (playing in the mud) on Saturday, April 13, 2024. He was born on November 14, 1965, in Hopewell, Virginia. Scott was the son of Everett Wilson Angell and the late Lois Mae Angell.

Born in Virginia, Scott and his family traveled to many different locations before settling in Hunterdon County, NJ. Scott was a 1984 graduate of North Hunterdon High School and earned the rank of Eagle Scout June 18, 1984. Scott worked for R & L Power Center prior to starting his own small engine repair shop in 1996 called, Scotty's Expert Small Engine Repair in Pittstown, NJ. Scott was a best friend and loving husband to his wife, Patti Angell (nee Lambert) for over 29 years.  Scott's love for the outdoors didn’t stop after earning the rank of Eagle Scout either, he enjoyed camping and riding his ATV all through New Jersey, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Vermont and Maine to name a few. He also passed on his passions to his sons Derek and David and taught them everything he could about taking things apart to see how they work and putting them back together. Scott also enjoyed coaching soccer, camping, repairing everything from bicycles, cars, 4 wheelers and just about anything that had a motor or wheels. 

Scott will be forever missed by his wife Patti Angell, and sons Derek and David. He is survived by his father Everett Angell and his wife Lyn Chandler Angell of Warrington, PA, a sister Leigh Ann Moore of High Bridge, NJ, and her 2 daughters, and a brother Mark Angell. Sister-in-laws Barbara Mowrey and her fiancé Kenny, Diane Nesbitt and her husband Destry, a brother-in-law Tim Lambert and his partner Josh. He will also be missed by his nieces and nephews. 

Memorial visitation for friends and family will be held on Wednesday, May 1st from 4:00 until 7:00 PM at Martin Funeral Home 1761 Route 31, Clinton NJ. Words of Remembrance will be shared on Wednesday, May 1st starting at 6:30 PM in the funeral home.
