Richard Zullo

Obituary of Richard A Zullo

Richard A. Zullo, 76, of Hampton, New Jersey passed away peacefully on March 18th, 2024 at Morristown Medical Center. Richard was born July 30th, 1947, to the late John and Bernice Zullo in Rahway, New Jersey. Richard grew up in Woodbridge, NJ. Richard leaves behind his loving wife Resa whom he married on May 1st, 1987. Throughout his life Richard has worked in the construction business and most recently worked as the Construction General Superintendent and Owners Representative for McKissack in NYC.

In his younger years Richard had a love for travel and indulging in a good social occasion. He and his wife would travel to ski all across the United States. As Richard got older he enjoyed relaxing in his backyard with a glass of good tequila and a nice cigar, with some music on the stereo. He had a passion for dancing and enjoyed music of all genres. He enjoyed a game of pool and would often run the table. Richard was an avid learner, always looking to expand his knowledge on the mechanics of how something worked or why something was the way it was; he would also make sure to teach everyone around him whether they wanted to learn it or not! Throughout his working life Richard was involved in many projects but a few that stood out were his building of Barclays Stadium and Atlantic Yards, the raising of the Bayonne Bridge, building of the Times Building, Madame Tussaud’s Wax Museum, Surrey Hotel, 666 Madison and the 21 Club just to name a few.

Richard is survived by his beloved wife of 37 years Resa Mazzuoccola-Zullo, two daughters Bianca Natale and Avery Osbourne, and siblings Robert Zullo, Doreen Petras and Joan Saliceti; along with many other extended family members.

Richard is predeceased by his parents John and Bernice Zullo.

Richard’s family would also like to extend a special thank you to those who have reached out to provide support to his family during this time, especially to the nurses and staff at Morristown Medical Center Palliative/Hospice Unit for their loving care and support through these difficult times.

In accordance with Richard’s wishes all services will be held privately.
