Obituary of Edith Mae Jones

Edith Mae Jones, age 97, of Fayetteville, NC, passed away Tuesday, February 27, 2024.  Edith was born in Clinton, NJ, on August 14, 1926, to the late William and the late Florence ( nee Woodruff) Darlymple.

Edith dedicated her life to raising her two children. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great- great- grandmother.  Edith enjoyed spending time with her partner, WC Rhines, who she cared deeply for.

Edith will be forever missed by her daughter, Sharon (Pat) Catlin, grandchildren Melode (Greg) Dickerson, Dawn Gray, Bucky (Ann) Mowery, Patti (and her recently deceased husband, Gary) Collins, Krystal (Gordon) White, Candi Miller; her 15 great- grandchildren; and her 12 great-great- grandchildren.

Edith is predeceased by her daughter, Joyce Alford; great -grandson Julian Henderson; and her companion, WC Rhines.
