Obituary of Carol Ann Mary Dawson

Carol Ann Mary Dawson, age 82, of Oldwick, NJ, passed away February 10, 2024.  Born on September 27, 1941, in New York City, Carol was the daughter of the late Lawrence and the late Mary “Molly” ​Donovan.

Carol was a 1958 graduate of Washington Irving High School and married the love of her life, Philip Dawson, on September 14, 1963.  Together they raised their two children, Kevin and Laura.  Being a homemaker and raising her children was Carol greatest pleasure and accomplishment. Carol cherished her children deeply. She was blessed with two grandchildren, Matthew and Sophia, who brought her immense joy.

In her leisure time, Carol loved to travel, attend concerts, and listen to music. At home, she enjoyed cooking, gardening, and quiet reading. Above all, spending time with her family brought her the most happiness.

Carol will always be remembered by her devoted husband, Philip Dawson, her son, Kevin Dawson, her daughter, Laura Varaklis, and her grandson, Matthew Varaklis.

Carol is preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Molly Donovan; brother, Lawrence Donovan; sister, Tina Donovan; and her beautiful granddaughter, Sophia Varaklis.

Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday, February 16^th at 10:00 am at Immaculate Conception Church, 316 Old Allerton Road, Annandale NJ 08801.
