Obituary of Leonora J Moore

Leonora J. Moore ("Lee"), age 93, from Annandale NJ, previously residing in Chatham, NJ, passed away on Friday, February 9, 2024, at Sunrise of Mountainside. Born on May 13, 1930, in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late Levon Roubian and the late Rose (née Agnello) Roubian.

Lee graduated from St. John's University and served as a Contract Analyst for Home Life Insurance Company. She traveled the world before marrying Robert R. Moore (“Bob”) in 1968. She and Bob raised his daughters Teresa, Patrice and Anne.  

A dedicated supporter of Overlook Medical Center in Summit, NJ, Lee edited and contributed to a cookbook benefiting the hospital and was the President and a longtime active member of the Overlook Hospital Ladies Auxiliary. 

In her leisure time Lee immersed herself in books, collected antiques and fine jewelry, traveled widely, cooked fabulous meals, entertained friends and family at her home on Cape Cod, and studied Armenian history and culture.

Both Lee and her late husband Bob were devout Catholics and active members of St. Patrick Church in Chatham, NJ and Immaculate Conception Church in Annandale, NJ.  Among their many ministries, she and Bob led the St. Patrick Home-School Association and supported Immaculate Conception School. 

Lee is survived by her three daughters, Teresa L. Moore of Westfield, NJ (husband Douglas), Patrice M. Quinn of Reston, VA (husband Kevin), and Anne R. Armstrong of Cleveland, OH (husband Michael). Her cherished grandchildren Julia Pruitt, Elise Quinn, Michael Fasciale, and Steven Fasciale, her great-grandson, Henry Owen Pruitt, and many dear nieces and nephews also survive her.

Preceding Lee in death were her parents Levon and Rose, her sister Rose Marie, and her beloved husband, Bob.

Relatives and friends may visit with Lee's family on Friday, February 23, 2024, from 3:00 until 5:00 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home, located at 1761 Route 31, Clinton NJ 08809. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday, February 24, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church, located at 316 Old Allerton Rd., Annandale, NJ  08801.  Interment will follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery adjacent to the church.
