Remembering Arline and Vincent Fortunato 

Arline (85) and Vincent J. (91) Fortunato, of Annandale NJ, passed away on Sunday, December 3, 2023. They lived a life full of love and were together until the very end. 

Arline (nee Krinick) was born in New York, NY, on May 29, 1938. She was the daughter of Abraham Krinick and Janice (nee Friedman) Krinik. Arline was a homemaker and devoted her life to creating a loving home for her and Vinnie. 

Vinnie was born in Brooklyn, NY on October 20, 1932. He was the son of Nicholas Fortunato and Rose (nee Bruno) Fortunato. Vinnie served in the US Navy for two years and worked for the IRS for over forty years until his retirement. He was a devout Catholic and took great pride in serving as an usher at Immaculate Conception Church in Annandale, NJ. 

Arline and Vinnie's love was unbreakable. They cherished every moment together and were inseparable. They loved spending time with their extended family, and always looked forward to the next occasion when they would all be together. They could often be found sipping afternoon cocktails while recounting the day's events. Both Vinnie and Arline enjoyed shopping; Vinnie liked in-person bargain shopping and Arline liked shopping on QVC.  Vinnie could often be found walking around the town of Clinton to stay fit and picking up the occasional stray golf balls outside their home. Their love story was beautiful from beginning to end. 

Arline and Vinnie are survived by his sister, Carmela Duffy of Oxford, NJ; nephew, Brian Duffy (Michele); nieces, Susan Fleming (Dean), Janice Duffy (Keith), and Laura Smorto (Mike); and their great nieces and nephews. They will be forever missed. 

Vinnie’s brother, Louie and his wife Rose and their son Nicky and also brother in law Jerry Duffy, all predeceased Vinnie and Arline. 

A gathering for family and friends will be held on Friday, December 8, 2023, from 4:00 until 7:00 PM at Martin Funeral Home, located at 1761 Route 31, Clinton NJ 08809. A Mass of Catholic Burial will be held on Saturday, December 9, 2023, at 10:00 AM at Immaculate Conception Church 316 Old Allerton Road, Annandale, NJ 08801. To send condolences to the family, please visit www.martinfh.com.
