Obituary of Edith H. Huff

Edith "Edie" Huff (nee Lance), aged 81, of the Bunnvale section of Lebanon Township, NJ, passed away peacefully at home, with her loving family by her side, on Thursday, November 23, 2023. She was born on January 20, 1942, in Lebanon Township, NJ. Edie was the daughter of the late Harry Watson Lance and the late Susan Wise Hoffman.

In 1961, Edie earned her nursing degree. She subsequently worked as a nurse at Hunterdon Medical Center and then as the director of activities at the North Hunterdon Senior Center. On May 2, 1965, she married the love of her life, Clayton S. Huff. Together, they raised their four children: Clayton Jr., Kim, Jeffrey, and Todd.

After many years of devotion to Bunnvale Assembly of God, Edie became an active member of Evangel Chapel in Clinton. There she enjoyed volunteering her time to lead the 60 and over social group. She also enjoyed spending time researching genealogy. Most of all, she loved spending time with her precious family.

Edie will be forever missed by her loving husband, Clayton S. Huff Sr.; her sons, Clayton "Skip" Huff Jr. and his wife Susan, Jeffrey Huff, Todd Huff and his wife Stephanie; daughter, Kim Jacobus and her husband Brian; grandchildren, Codi Jacobus, Taylor Gibson and her husband Tyler, Elizabeth Huff, and Daniel Huff; great-grandson, Levi Gibson; and sister, Delores Cregar and her husband Gary.

Edie is predeceased by her parents, Harry and Susan Lance, and her brother, Robert Lance.

Family and friends are invited to visit with her family on Monday, November 27, 2023, from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Martin Funeral Home, 1761 Rt. 31, Clinton, NJ. 08801.  Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, November 28, 2023, at 11:00 am at the funeral home, guests will be greeted starting at 10:00 am. Burial immediately following at Lower Valley Cemetery, 445 County Rd. 513, Califon, NJ 07830.
