Obituary of Walter A. Warneski
Walter Allen Warneski, age 67, passed away Thursday, October 12, 2023, in Morristown, NJ. Walter was born May 4, 1956, in South Amboy, NJ, to the later Walter and Adele Warneski.
Walter graduated from Sayreville War Memorial High School in 1974. He went on to become the founder/owner of Hunterdon Power Equipment where he worked alongside his son and daughter for decades until his retirement. Walter and his loving wife, Catherine, raised three children; Jessica, Nicholas, and Adam, whom he adored. He was blessed with a granddaughter, Audrey (affectionately known as "Frog"), who he took great joy in.
Walter was a craftsman at heart. He could often be found building, tinkering, fixing anything, creating stained glass, and doing projects around the house that he built. Above all, he most enjoyed spending time with his family and his beloved dogs, Zoey and Buster.
Walter will be forever missed by his loving wife, Catherine Warneski; his children, Jessica Warneski (partner Lizzy Schwartz), Nicholas Warneski (fiance Jewelia Casey), and Adam Prokofiew (partner Taylor Krolik); granddaughter, Audrey "Frog" Stemler; sister, Claudia Stepko (husband Steve Stepko); nephews, Steve Stepko Jr.,and Shay Palmer; and niece, Jade Marczak (husband Jeff Marczak).
Walter is predeceased by his parents, Walter and Adele Warneski; and niece, Christine Stepko.
Relatives and friends may gather with Walt’s family, on Sunday October 22nd, from 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM, with words of remembrance starting at 3:30 PM.
