Obituary of Pamela Anne Stewart

Pam Stewart, of Clinton, NJ, passed away Wednesday, August 9, 2023.  She was 82. Pam was born in Chicago, IL, on November 11, 1940.

Pam was a graduate of Trinity High School in River Forest, IL.  She continued her studies at DePaul University in Chicago, IL, and Fairleigh Dickenson University in Madison, NJ.

Pam had strong faith and values. She was a member of St. John Neumann Parish and served on the Parish Council.

At the beginning of her career, Pam worked as an insurance underwriter.  She then worked as a safety and wellness specialist for a NJ corporation and a program specialist for the National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence. Pam served as executive director of the Warren County Council on Alcohol, Drugs, and Tobacco.  Pam retired from Hunterdon Medical Center in 2019, where she was the Lifeline Program Coordinator.

Pam was an International and State Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor, International Certified Safety and Security Director, and NJ State Certified Social Worker. She was recognized by the AFL-CIO for her distinguished contributions to the union's community service programs.  Pam received awards from the NCADD for statewide service as Executive Director of the Warren County Council.

Pam married Al Stewart, the love of her life, on June 9, 1979.  Al was Pam's best friend. Family was most important to Pam.  She enjoyed attending family gatherings and various celebrations. She was an avid reader and bridge player.  Later in life, Pam found fulfillment in taking drama classes.  She had always wanted to act. Pam loved the beach, especially Cape May, NJ, where she frequently vacationed.

Pam is predeceased by her loving husband, Al Stewart; brother, John Ghiselli; sister, Dana Wilson; sister-in-law, Peggy Ghiselli; brother-in-law, Greg Wilson; and her parents, Betty and Frank Ghiselli.

Pam will be deeply missed by her siblings, Julie Redling, Tony Ghiselli, Joseph Ghiselli and his wife Ilona;  and her brother-in-law Greg Redling; nieces and nephews, Sarah Hunt and her husband Don, Jessica Donahue and her husband Jon, Jake Wilson and his wife Mari, Amy Lombardi and her husband Gary, Adam Redling and his wife Katie, Tim Ghiselli, Julia Ghiselli, Dana Ghiselli and Rebecca Redling and many devoted friends.

Friends and relatives are invited to visit with the family on Thursday, August 17th, from 10:00 until 11:00 AM at St. John Neumann Church, located at 398 County Rd. 513, Califon, NJ 07830. Mass of Catholic Burial will begin at 11:00 in the church. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Halstead Street, Clinton NJ.  All are welcome to celebrate Pam's life and share stories after the interment at 1:00 pm at St. John Neumann’s.
