Obituary of Joe Piazza

Joe Piazza, age 84, of Milford, Delaware died Monday, July 11, 2011 at Milford Memorial Hospital in Milford, Delaware. Joe was born May 3, 1927 in Lodi, NJ. He was the son of the late Jack and the late Rose (Rene) Piazza. He was a longtime resident of Asbury, NJ before moving to Milford, Delaware 6 years ago. He was a Butcher and employed by Paterson Packing in Paterson, NJ. He also worked for the Edna Mahon Correctional Facility in Clinton, NJ. He served in the United States Army during World War II from 1945 to 1947. Joe was a longtime member of the Pattenburg Volunteer Fire Company. He is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Merle (nee Rose) Piazza and his son, James Piazza of Virginia. He was pre-deceased by his son, David in 1998. The Visitation will take place Friday, July 15th from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at Martin Funeral Home, 1761 Route 31, Clinton, NJ. There will be a Fireman's Prayer Service & a Funeral Service on Friday, July 15th at 12:00 pm also at the Funeral Home. The Interment will take place at Laurel Grove Cemetery in Totowa, NJ.
