Obituary of Rosemarie Buza
On June 11, 2023, Rosemarie (Jazwiecki) Buza, 81, of High Bridge, NJ, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her family after a brief illness. Born on August 12, 1941, in Elizabeth NJ, Rosemarie was the eldest of five children born to Sigmund and Rose (Krypel) Jazwiecki.
Upon graduation from Battin High School, in Elizabeth NJ she went to work for PSE&G. In 1962 she began what she described as her most important and cherished career, marrying her beloved husband of 53 years, the late Arnis Buza and starting her family. Together they raised four boys, and were blessed with 10 grandchildren.
Upon her retirement in 2002 from the North Hunterdon-Voorhees Regional High School District, she traveled the country and world, from the South Pacific to Mediterranean with her husband. Rosemarie was a devoted supporter of her local community as an active member of St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church in High Bridge NJ and volunteered at the Open Cupboard Food Pantry in Clinton. An avid reader, she was a board member of the High Bridge Public Library for many years. As a member of the Wednesday Morning Knitting Club, she enjoyed crocheting and spending time with her friends.
Rosemarie is survived by her son Arnis C. Buza, wife Melinda and grandchildren Christopher and Emily of Connecticut, her son Jeffrey J. Buza, wife Kendra and grandchildren Brendan, Connor, and Kaitlyn of Maryland, her son Gregory J. Buza, wife Mary Beth and grandchildren Kathleen, Joseph, and Megan of Pennsylvania, and her son Matthew D. Buza, wife Tamela and grandchildren Alexander and Ian of New Jersey. She is also survived by her sisters Katherine Bregman and Antoinette Lew, and her brother Sigmond Jazwiecki. She is predeceased by her sister Margaret.
Visitation of family and friends will be held on Thursday, June 15th from 2:00 until 4:00 PM and from 6:00 until 8:00 PM, at the Martin Funeral Home, located at, 1761 Route 31, Clinton NJ, 08809. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday, June 16th at 10:00 AM, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, located at, 59 Main Street, High Bridge, NJ 08829.
