Obituary of Katherine A. Waddleton

Katherine A. Waddleton, 87, formerly of Port Reading, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on June 6th, 2023 in Bridgewater, New Jersey. Katherine was born May 9th, 1936 in Holyoke, Massachusetts to the late Demetra and Andrew Rigas. Katherine graduated from Dickinson High School in Jersey City in 1955. Shortly after graduation she married her beloved husband Richard Waddleton on September 7th, 1957 with whom she shared over 40 years together. Katherine worked as an administrative assistant at various companies.  She was also a homemaker and more importantly a mother of four daughters, a role in which she took much joy.  
 
Katherine was raised in a large family and had more than enough love to share with them all, especially as they grew to raise their own families so did her capacity to love even more. Nothing meant more to her than her family including, her husband, her children, and grandchildren. Katherine was a woman of strong faith that and shared that with her family. In the time she wasn’t busy being Mom or Yia Yia, she enjoyed travel, billiards, bowling, and playing cards.
 
Katherine will be forever missed by her daughters: Dorothy Waddleton, Donna Waddleton, Anne Jones, and Bernadette Waddleton, her grandchildren: Daniel Jones, Katie Jones and Abby Rogers, her brother Ted Rigoppoulos, her sister-in-law Frosena Rigas and many nieces and nephews. 
 
Katherine is predeceased by her beloved husband Richard J. Waddleton, her parents Andrew and Demetra Rigas, and by 8 brothers and sisters.

Family and Friends are called to gather for visitation on Thursday June 8th, 2023 at St. John Neumann Roman Catholic Church located at 398 County Route 513, Califon, New Jersey 07830 from 10am until 11am. Immediately following visitation a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John Neumann Catholic Church at 11am. Cremation to be held privately following the conclusion of Mass.
