Obituary of Douglas Dwight Johnson
Douglas Dwight Johnson, age 70, of Califon, NJ, passed away at home on Wednesday, September 21, 2022. Born on April 20, 1952, in Livingston N.J., Douglas was the son of the late Barbara and Adam Johnson.
Douglas was a 1970 graduate of North Hunterdon Regional High School. He served in the U.S. Navy as a Radioman Petty Officer 3rd Class. On May 21, 1983, Douglas married the love of his life, Deborah. Together they raised a son, Adam, who he adored. He was blessed with two grandchildren whom he took great joy in. Douglas was the owner and operator of Johnson Limousine.
When he wasn't working, Douglas enjoyed motorcycles and motorcycle racing. You could often find him relaxing while fly fishing, watching YouTube, and napping. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family.
Douglas will be forever missed by his son, Adam Russell Johnson; stepdaughter, Jennifer Cheek; grandchildren, Alex Cheek and Owen Cheek; sister, Sharon Winter and her husband Steven; brother, Ken Johnson and his wife Lorraine; nieces, Laura Danson and Rebecca Winter; nephews, Matt Winter and his wife Ashlee, and Brian Johnson and his wife Sara; grand nieces and nephews, Taylor Danson, Haley Danson, Lindsey Danson, Karlee Winter, Benjamin Winter, and Del Johnson.
Douglas is predeceased by his beloved wife, Deborah Johnson, and his parents, Barbara Ann Johnson, and Adam Johnson.
