Wendy, Dana, Mikey and Cory,
We are so incredibly sorry for your loss of your Husband and Father. There are no words. Wendy, I still remember the day you told us that you had met Joe. You were so happy! Then the news of expecting Dana, and then Mikey. Your Dad loved you very much. Although we’ve yet to meet Cory, I can see the love he had for you as well. Hold these memories in your heart! Rest In Peace Joe
Love, Michael and Jennifer Soda

Joe Maurizio, the consummate salesman! I started Magni America in January of 2015 and I immediately thought that Joe should represent our company. The first man I reached out to was Joe. Joe was a man with integrity, values and very proud of his family and country. Knowing of his long time experience with different equipment companies, along with his friendship with my late brother-in-law Robert, I knew Joe was the right man for the job.
Joe had the ability to know how things worked. I was always impressed by Joe’s knowledge of every nut and bolt on our machines and how to repair them as well. I very much admired Joe for his ability to study and dive into the machinery and totally understand all the different components along with their functions. Joe had that special talent!
Joe was our Northeast Territory Manager, so on occasion I took several trips to New England with Joe. Between the sales war stories we shared, there were a lot of things evident about Joe. His desire to succeed, his commitment to doing the right thing, and Joe’s love for his family was always at the forefront of our conversations. It was my sincere pleasure to know you Joe!!! Godspeed my friend!!!

I'd like to relate a story that I believe encapsulates the person Joey was. Back on a Saturday in the summer of 1971, my friend Maty and I had taken a ride on our motorcycles up to New Paltz, NY. On our way back to Staten Island, along the New York State Thruway near Exit 16, my bike had a mechanical issue and was unrideable. What to do? Call Joey Maurizio! I somehow managed to get to a phone, and luckily, caught Joey at home. I explained my predicament and without hesitation, Joey said to stand by, that he was on his way with his pickup truck! In what seemed like no time, Joey appeared with his truck. We loaded the bike, and off we were back to Staten Island. Who would take the time and effort to stop what they were doing (and Joey was always doing!) on a Saturday evening and drive over 70 miles to go help a friend in need? Joe Maurizio!
It's been over 50 years since that incident, but I remember it like it was yesterday.
Rest in peace my friend and may God bless your family.

Words cannot express our deep sadness and sense of loss at your passing. You were much more family than friend, with our memories spanning more than 50 years, from Staten Island days to a Manasquan beach house to "growing up" with wives and families to the piston head phone marathons. We will forever miss you, Joe, and are still trying to grasp your passing. Sending prayers, deepest condolences and love to Wendy, Dana, Mikey and Cory at this difficult time. Rest in Peace, our friend. With Love, John and Diane
