Obituary of Richard J. Dalpe

Richard J. Dalpe, age 74, of Pittstown passed away Friday, November 19, 2010 at his home, surrounded by his family. Mr. Dalpe was born March 9, 1936 in Dover, NJ. He was the son of Joseph Charles Dalpe and Martha Woodruff Dalpe. Mr. Dalpe was raised in Glen Gardner and has been living in Pittstown for the past 33 years. He served in the US Navy. Richard was the owner and operator of Glen Sunoco in High Bridge for 18 years. He enjoyed trapshooting and hunting. He is survived by his beloved wife: Priscilla (Wright) Dalpe; his five children: Richard J. Dalpe Jr., Kevin Brian Dalpe, Robin Elizabeth Ireland, Paige Heiskell and Lisa Jean Moore, his brother Ronald Dalpe and sister, Donalda Alexander. He also survived by 11 grandchildren, one great-granddaughter, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his brothers, Joseph (1995) and Donald (2004). Visiting hours will be Wednesday November 24th from 11:00 am to 1:00 PM at Martin Funeral Home, 1761 Route 31, Clinton, NJ. There will be a Catholic Blessing at 1:00pm following the visitation at the funeral home. Burial will be in Locust Grove Cemetery in Quakertown.
