Obituary of Jerome S. Lazzaro

Jerome S. Lazzaro, age 80, of Bethlehem Twp., NJ (Hunterdon County) died Sunday, July 11, 2010 at the Hunterdon Medical Center in Raritan Twp., NJ. Mr. Lazzaro was born July 6, 1930 in Irvington, NJ the son of the late Salvatore and the late Fortunetta (nee Calzone) Lazzaro. He was a Korean War Veteran in the United States Navy and served from 1951 to 1955. Mr. Lazzaro was employed as a Computer Technician for Univac of New Jersey where he worked for many years before retiring. Jerome resided in Bethlehem Twp. , NJ for the past 32 years and previous to that, he lived in North Plainfield, NJ. He is survived by his beloved wife: Catherine (nee Puya) Lazzaro, his daughters: Donna Schaarschmidt & her husband, Steven of Roseto, Pa., Adele Holliday & her husband, John of Hellertown, Pa., and Bernadette Krchnavy & her husband, William of Buckeye, AZ. Additional survivors include his cherished grandchildren: Russell & his wife, Brittany, Kyle, Madison and Nolan; his great-grandson, Hunter and his sister: Antoinette DeFalco of Chester, NJ. He was pre-deceased by his brother, Dominic. Visiting Hours will be on Wednesday, July 14th from 2:00 to 4:00 pm & from 7:00 to 9:00 pm at Martin Funeral Home, 1761 Route 31, Clinton, NJ. There will be a Funeral Mass on Thursday, July 15th at 9:30 am at St. Philip & St. James Church, 430 South Main Street, Philipsburg, NJ 08865 -- #908-454-0125. The Interment will take place at Our Lady Of Mount Carmel Cemetery, Bangor, Pa. (Roseto).
