Obituary of Edward J. Wirasnik

Edward Wirasnik, age 84, of Lebanon Township passed away on Saturday, June 5, 2010 at his home. Mr. Wirasnik was born May 12, 1926 in Elizabeth, NJ. He was the son of the late Joseph and the late Catherine (Edwards) Wirasnik. He served in the US Navy during WWII. He belonged to the VFW Post #5119 in Glen Gardner. Mr. Wirasnik was a Union Carpenter for Local 455 in Somerville, NJ for over 50 years. He has been living in Lebanon Twp. for the past 57 years. He was a member of the Northwest Jersey Beekeeper Association. He enjoyed fishing and gardening. He is survived by his loving wife of almost 60 years: Marie S. (Almind) Wirasnik, his three children: Gail M. Vajda of Lebanon Twp., NJ, James E. Wirasnik and his wife Patricia of Pittstown, NJ, and Daniel C. Wirasnik and his wife Susan of Lebanon Township, NJ. His six grandchildren: Brande Grieder, Kristen, Mark, Peter, Brian and Virginia Wirasnik and his great granddaughter: Kadence Grieder. He is also survived by his two sisters: Shirley Hendricks of Willismsport, PA, Ruth Milkowitz of CA. Visiting hours will be Monday June 7, 2010 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm & again from 7:00 to 9:00 pm at Martin Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be on Tuesday, June 8, 1010 at 10:00 AM at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Spruce Run Cemetery in Lebanon Township.
