Obituary of Richard Thomas

Richard Thomas, age 57, of Pattenburg, NJ died Sunday, May 2, 2010 at home. Mr. Thomas was born June 16, 1952 in Newark, NJ the son of the late Joseph and the late Valentina (nee Candelerie) Thomas. He owned a pet shop and he was a medical biller. Mr. Thomas resided in Pattenburg, NJ for the past 25 years and previous to that he lived in Califon, NJ & Avenel, NJ. He was an avid gardener and especially enjoyed growing orchids and roses. Mr. Thomas helped create the gardens at Great Adventure and the Duke Estate. He loved his pets, especially his dogs Skye and Dylan. He is survived by his beloved Wife of 26 years: Rosemary (nee Flynn) Thomas, his Daughters: Doreen Miller of Pattenburg, NJ & Heather Thomas of Oxford, NJ, his Son: Richard Maliszewski of Pattenburg, NJ, his Grandson, Christopher Miller of Pattenburg, NJ. Additional survivors include his Brothers: Joseph Thomas Jr. of Pattenburg, NJ & James Thomas of Saylorsburg, Pa., his Sister, Valerie Cullins of Gouldsboro, Pa., and many Nieces & Nephews. The family is planning a Memorial Service to be announced in the near future. All other services were held privately and at the convenience of the family.
