Obituary of Rolv N. Omstead

Rolv N. Omstead, age 89, of Lebanon Twp., NJ died Saturday, February 6, 2010 at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, Pa. Mr. Omstead was born June 19, 1920 in Rockland Lake, NY, the son of the late Daniel and the late Tekla (nee Tallaskson) Omstead. Mr. Omstead was a WWII Veteran and served in the US Navy from 1942 to 1945. He resided in Harington Park in Bergen County, NJ for many years before moving to Lebanon Twp., NJ. Mr. Omstead was a member of the Harington Park Volunteer Fire Department for many years. He is survived by his beloved Wife of 59 years: Gloria (nee Turro), his Daughter, Carol Kroner and Son-in Law, James Kroner of Pittstown, NJ, his Sons, Stephen Omstead and Fiancé, Julie Favarro of Fairlawn, NJ and Daniel Omstead and Daughter-in Law, Mary Omstead of Hingham, Ma.. His cherished Grandchildren, James Kroner, Zachary Kroner, Cody Kroner, Jesse Kroner, & Callie Kroner and Catherine & Kelsey Omstead. Additional survivors include; Elliot and Evan Favarro and his Brother: Elmer Omstead & Sisters: Judith Pasley, Esther Felici, and Thelma Beahm. There will be a Funeral Service on Friday, February 12th at 11:30 am at Martin Funeral Home, 1761 Route 31, Clinton, NJ. The Visitation will also take place on Friday, February 12th from 10:00 am to 11:30 am at the Funeral Home. The Interment with Military Honors will take place at the Locust Grove Cemetery in Franklin Twp., NJ following the funeral service.
