Obituary of Ann Grace Bishop

Ann Grace Bishop, age 87, formerly of West Orange and Valhalla, NY passed away on Sunday, January 17, 2010 at the Country Arch Care Center in Union Township. Mrs. Bishop was born November 19, 1922 in Newark, NJ. She was the daughter of the late John and the late Anna (Homberger) White. She grew up in Newark, lived in West Orange and Valhalla, NY before moving to Flemington less than a year ago. She was a homemaker. In her earlier years, she worked as a Secretary for Prudential in Newark. An avid letter writer, Ann was a faithful correspondent to family and friends. She will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her husband of 61 years: George C. Bishop; three daughters: Maryanne Davies, Marguerite Poles and her husband David, Katherine Gunnels and her husband Philip and her daughter-in-law, Betsy Bishop. She had 9 Grandchildren and was also survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Mrs. Bishop was predeceased by her son, George J. Bishop; her son-in-law, Kenneth Davies, and 2 Brothers and 2 Sisters. Visiting hours will be Wednesday January 20th from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm at Martin Funeral Home, 1761 Route 31, Clinton, NJ. There will be a Funeral Mass celebrated on Thursday , January 21st at 10:00am at Immaculate Conception Church, 316 Old Allerton Road in Annandale.
