Obituary of Stanley L. Walling Sr.
Stanley L Walling Sr., age 85, of Hackettstown, NJ died Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at Hackettstown Regional Medical Center. Mr. Walling was born January 20, 1924 in East Orange, NJ the son of the late Jeremiah and the late Edith (nee Day) Walling.
He was a WWII United States Army Veteran and served from 1943 to 1946 in the Army Medical Corps. After that he served 2 years in the Naval Reserves. Stanley was a Computer Annalysist for MetLife in New York City where he worked for 41 years before retiring. He was a Mason and a member of the Genesis Lodge. Mr. Walling was also a past master of the East Orange Masonic Lodge. In addition, he was a member of the Antique Car Club of America and the Classic Car Club of America.
Survivors include, his Sons; Stanley L. Walling Jr. of Philadelphia, Pa., Christopher Walling & his Wife, Donna of Hackettstown, NJ, Matthew Walling & his Wife, Linda of Clinton, NJ, his cherished Grandchildren; Christina, Michael, Mark, Margaret & Joseph and his Brother, Jerry Walling of Madison, NJ. He was pre-deceased by his beloved Wife, Adair in 2006 and his Brother, William Walling died earlier.
Visiting Hours will be on Sunday, January 3rd from 2:00 to 4:00 pm & from 7:00 to 9:00 pm at Martin Funeral Home, 1761 Route 31, Clinton, NJ. There will be a Funeral Service on Monday, January 4th at 11:00 am also at the Funeral Home.
