Obituary of Kenneth S. Davies

Kenneth S. Davies, age 61, of Pittstown, NJ (Alexandria Twp.) died Wednesday, December 16, 2009 at Overlook Hospital in Summit, NJ. Mr. Davies was born October 19, 1948 in East Orange, NJ the son of the late Kenneth E. and the late Helen (nee Killoran) Davies. He served in the United States Navy from1966 to 1970 during the Vietnam War. He was a Sergeant for the West Orange Police Department for 28 years before retiring. Kenneth graduated Rutgers University with a BS in political science. Mr. Davies resided in Pittstown, NJ (Alexandria Twp.) for the past 5 years and previous to that, he lived in West Orange, NJ. He enjoyed politics, the outdoors and collecting stamps & coins. He was a parishioner of Immaculate Conception Church in Annandale where he served as an usher and was active in it's Men's Club. He is survived by his beloved Wife of 36 years: Maryanne (nee Bishop) Davies, his Daughter: Amy Davies & her Husband, David Guzzetta of Portland, Oregon, his Son: Jeremy Davies & his Wife, Ashley Tate of Chatham, NJ and his Sisters: Maureen Brock of Tinton Falls, NJ & Marilyn Flannery of Bloomfield, NJ. He was pre-deceased by his Brother, Robert Davies in 1992 and his parents. Visiting Hours will be on Sunday, December 20th from 2:00 to 5:00 pm at Martin Funeral Home, 1761 Route 31, Clinton, NJ. There will be a Funeral Mass on Monday, December 21st at 10:00 am at the Immaculate Conception RC Church, 316 Old Allerton Road, Annandale, NJ 08801 - #(908)-735-7180 or www.icc-clintonnj Family & Friends are invited to meet DIRECTLY at the church on Monday morning. The Interment will take place at the Immaculate Conception Cemetery on the church grounds immediately following the Mass.
