Obituary of Selma Lake

Selma Lake, age 88, of Phillipsburg formerly of Hampton, NJ passed away Saturday, November 21, 2009 at Brakeley Care Center, Phillipsburg. Mrs. Lake was born December 25, 1920 in Hampton, NJ. She was the daughter of the late Archer and the late Grace (Sampson) Clark. Mrs. Lake was a homemaker. She was a member of the Hampton Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary. She was a member of the Hampton Presbyterian Church and she was once a Girl Scout Leader. She is survived by Two sons: Clifford Lake and his wife Edna of Milford, NJ, Douglas Lake and his wife Sue of Bridgewater, NJ; her daughter: Linda McCann and her husband Terry of Little Egg Harbor Twp., NJ; her Brother: Archer Clark of CA , her 5 Grandchildren and one great-daughter. She is also survived by many nieces ans nephews. She was pre-deceased by her husband of 62 years: Harry Lake who passed away in 2001; her brother: Franklin Clark; her sisters: Carolyn Zimmerman, Gladys Lake, and Elsie Sutton and her grandson: Jeffery Lake.Visiting hours will be Tuesday from 12:00 noon to 2:00 PM at Martin Funeral Home, 1761 Route 31, Clinton, NJ. There will be a Funeral service at the funeral home at 2:00pm following the visitation. Burial will follow at Musconetcong Valley Cemetery, Hampton.
